Establishes a non-linear dynamic model for the hot water heating system and analyses its dynamic properties. Presents the reduced-order method and the designing and setting of PI controller parameters. Dynamically simulates the possible control strategies and analyses their energy consumption for the system. The simulation results indicate that indoor air temperature regulated only by a fuel controller according to the outdoor air temperature can not obtain desirable effects, while indoor air temperature controlled by different zone set points can satisfy the requirements of zone thermal comfort and can reduce the energy consumption by about 25%.
